It’s a ‘93 model, 1 of 500 legal ones of that year (era?). He bought it from the head of Apple at the time. There are also dinks on every single panel due to the guys son shooting a BB gun at it.

Fun fact, he also owns a ‘84 model 110 defender.

Fun fact number 2, he once owned up to 4 at one time

I think the ‘93 ones were sort of a provisional approval year, and then official permission years (mostly D90s) were ‘95/’96 or something like that. Don’t remember exactly, but it is as I thought, an NAS original run import.

Thats correct, the 110s were only imported in ‘93. 500 here in the US and 25 to Canada. The dented panels wont be much of an issue due to their collectability. I recently took my D90 to the shop and there were two sitting waiting for service. The “cheap” one, which I was informed was bought for 77K has a frame and bulkhead akin to Swiss cheese. The nicer one, well that thing sold for 110K. Damn I want that thing...
